19th Annual AETC Online
Daniel Timm - General Manager Wegner Motorsports
At age eight I received a bicycle for Christmas and promptly disassembled it in the basement of our home in Milwaukee Wisconsin.
At age nine got in serious trouble for changing the neighbor’s flat tire with a bumper jack by my self.
At age ten removed the cylinder head of a 216 Chevrolet at our home then in rural Markesan Wisconsin and sent it in to the local machine shop for a valve job. Worked as a mechanic as far back as I can remember and as a junior in high school bored with just one job and high school took a second job with Carl Wegner later to become his first full time employee to say it has been an adventure is a large understatement but none the less I am still there in anticipation of what could possibly happen next.
I feel as if I still enjoy the engine business or maybe I am addicted to the chaos. The business has changed a lot over the past thirty years but the passion to learn has not.
