Matt Hartford

Matt Hartford has a passion for racing.  During the day, he serves as the Vice President of Total Seal Piston Rings as well as leading Total Seal’s Engineering Team.  Matt is the primary contact with the engineering and technical staff of most of the leading NASCAR Teams, Pro Stock Teams, and Professional Racing Teams around the globe.  Although his background is Nuclear Engineering and spent several years on Submarines in the US Navy, Matt enjoys working with the racing teams to find solutions to make internal combustion engines more efficient.  Designing and manufacturing of new piston ring designs is an area that can help every aspect of engine performance.

When Matt is not a Total Seal, he can most likely be found at a Drag Strip racing either NHRA Pro Stock or Competition Eliminator.  Some highlights of his career are winning the 2001 IDRC World Championship, 2002 NHRA World Championship, the and most recently winning the 2009 ADRL Pro Stock World Championship.  On the weekends that he is not racing on a professional level, he races his Total Seal Sponsored A/D in Competition Eliminator.
