Will Handzel - Whaba Inc

Will Handzel has been called a renaissance man by many industry members for his varied interests—but they all revolve around one mission: to answer his constant curiosity about subjects he thinks are important to the performance industry.
A good example of his curiosity: when the LS1 V8 engine was an unknown entity to most of the automotive enthusiast industry, Handzel spent 2 ˝ years researching it so he could publish what is considered by many to be the defining tech book on the LSX production engine family.
Handzel also helped drive interest in the engine with 60+ pages of magazine stories on LSX V8 engine buildups, part number breakdowns and the history of the engine development by GM Powertrain.
No stranger to the magazine world, Handzel created over 2500 published magazine pages during a 10 year stint at Peterson Publishing (now Source Interlink Media). His stories have appeared in magazines that include HOT ROD, Circle Track, Popular Hot Rodding, Car Craft, GM High Tech, Engine Masters, MOTOR TREND’s Truck Trend, Truckin’, Rod & Custom and more.
Handzel is working on what he believes is the next subject the industry will be interested in: making it easier for consumers to install and integrate products. His involvement with Whaba Inc, a company that has developed the easy-to-understand Photoinstructionstm system, represents a commitment to this new frontier he believes will grow the industry while improving customer satisfaction.
Over the years, Handzel's accomplishments include achieving a BS in Engineering from the University of Illinois – Urbana, garnering multiple 200 mph land speed records and being a part of the General Motors Powertrain Controls group developing Hybrid Vehicles.
